Contemporary Interior Designer Gary Iannarone is a major player in the retail furniture and design industry. Gary opened the doors of GMI Designs in 1976 and in 2016 he was proud to celebrate 40 years in business. He continues to predict style and influence the leading trends in the contemporary furniture and accessory world. Gary's continued commitment to customer service and quality furnishings is what has made GMI Designs such a success. With the help of his Contemporary Interior Design team, Gary provides his customers with expert design services and high quality furniture at reasonable prices. Since the opening of his new furniture showroom in November 2011, Gary continues to be committed to providing his customers with the ultimate in contemporary furniture and accessories.
Contemporary Interior Designer Robin Brixie Eisner has been the Head Designer at GMI Designs for the last 25 years. She is a graduate of Kean University where she studied Education, Psychology and Design. She has taught Contemporary Interior Design classes and Flower Arranging classes at the East Brunswick Adult Education School.
As a Contemporary Interior Designer, Robin’s credits include commercial as well as residential work from contemporary to traditional designs. She has designed the corporate offices of Plumrose USA and Wyeth Ayerest in Pennsylvania. Her projects also include one of the top presidents of Goldman Sachs with residences in Manalapan, Spring Lake, Red Bank and Manhattan. Her design work has taken her to Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona and California to name a few. She was proud to assist in the design of the third showroom of GMI Designs and looks forward to expanding their future with surrounding communities.
Contemporary Interior Designer Bob Berry has been working in the design industry for 35 years. He studied architecture at Cooper Union University in New York City and holds a degree in interior design from the New York School of Design. He also holds a Business Degree from William Patterson College in New Jersey.
As a Contemporary Interior Designer, Bob joined the design team at GMI Designs in September 2010. Prior to that, Bob worked as head designer at Exclusive Decorators for 24 years where his work included projects in Moscow, Kiev and Kharkov, Russia as well as Saudi Arabia. He also completed many projects in Florida. His current design jobs include projects in New York City, Brooklyn and West Hampton. Bob’s work goes beyond contemporary and includes transitional and traditional design projects as well.
Contemporary Interior Designer Sheryl Rothman has been working as an interior designer for over 19 years. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, where she received a BFA degree.
Before Sheryl joined the design team at GMI Designs. She was at Ligne Roset, an artful collection of French modern furniture. Prior to that Sheryl was a senior designer at Maurice Villency for over 12 years, which also included the European collection of Roche-Bobois. Sheryl leverages all her expertise in modern living and infuses design with innovative touches. She prides herself on successfully customizing interior design solutions, making clients feel comfortable and happy in their living environment.
Some of her unique projects have included small living spaces in NYC, a trendy W Hotel condo in Hoboken N.J., a penthouse in Philadelphia's Society Hill, a Miami loft in South Beach and a Vermont ski house to name a few. She is very happy to be part of the design team at GMI, the leader in contemporary furniture in New Jersey.
Contemporary Interior Designer Simonne E. Horvath's flourishing career as an Interior Designer began over 13 years ago. She earned her Associates of Applied Science at Brookdale Community College in 2005 where she studied Interior Design from a multitude of perspectives ranging from ancient Egypt to modern furniture. Before joining the GMI team in early 2012, Simonne worked with Francine Tessler & Associates for 8 years. During her time there, she assisted in the design and installation of model homes across the east coast, which have won multiple SAM (Sales and Marketing) Awards. Simonne's credits as an interior designer include expertise in contemporary, traditional, and transitional homes. Interior design is Simonne's passion and she is thrilled to have found such a wonderful team at GMI Designs.
We at GMI Designs pride ourselves on the outstanding Customer Service we provide our customers. Rich Pozsonyi has been with us for over 35 years. We rely on Rich and his technical expertise to make sure that every customer is happy with every purchase. He makes sure that every piece of furniture is opened and inspected in our warehouse before it is delivered to your home and our awesome delivery staff, Ryan and Hector, make sure that every experience is pleasant. Rich is responsible for all furniture installations such as custom media centers and custom bedrooms. He also measures and installs all of our window treatments, from a simple window shade to our custom cornices and draperies. Rich is best known for his meticulous work. He always takes his time to make sure that every installation is perfect and that every customer is completely satisfied.
